SLP Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders in K-5 students with mild to severe disabilities.
• Utilize AAC devices and other assistive technology mechanisms.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide direct therapy services both individually and in small groups.
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes.

Qualifications:

• Required: Kanas SLP License or Bachelor's in Communication Sciences & Disorders (SLPAs)
• Required: Ability to work onsite part-time or full-time
• Required: Ability to commute
• Preferred: Previous school-based experience
