Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
  • Craft custom treatment plans that not only target immediate objectives but also nurture overall communication, cognitive, or swallowing development.
  • Offer individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to establish effective care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families to foster ongoing progress beyond clinical encounters.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless care experience for your patients.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with all applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • A completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
