Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Located in Port Angeles, WA, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech and language services within an elementary school setting for the 2025-2026 school year. The role is full-time and in-person, with part-time consideration for qualified candidates, beginning September 2, 2025, through June 12, 2026, with possible snow make-up days. Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech therapy services and assessments to a caseload of approximately 45 students with diverse disabilities, following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Conduct initial and re-evaluation assessments as required. Collaborate closely with educators, special education directors, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress. Maintain consistent communication with families, teachers, and staff. Provide consultation to classroom teachers to enhance student support. Monitor, document, and report student progress to ensure compliance and educational success. Foster a positive, inclusive environment supporting diverse student needs. Qualifications: Valid Washington ESA certificate with SLP endorsement (or eligibility to obtain). Clearance of Federal Criminal Background Check. Strong skills in evaluation, intervention, and IEP documentation. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Knowledge of IDEA, state regulations, and school-based service models. Previous experience in school settings is preferred. Passion for supporting students with a wide range of needs and the ability to build rapport with families and colleagues.
