A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a therapeutic day school serving K-12 students in Des Plaines, IL. This contract position is for the current school year, offering approximately 20 hours per week to provide specialized support to students in autism and life skills classrooms.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and delivering speech and language therapy services to a caseload of about 20 students, implementing individualized education plans, and collaborating closely with educators and families to support student progress. This role is ideal for clinicians interested in working with pediatric populations in a structured educational setting, and it is open to Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellows (CFYs).
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois schools through ISBE
- Experience or interest in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in school settings and therapeutic day programs
