Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication skills, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop integrated care strategies.
  • Provide educational resources and support to patients and families to bolster progress beyond the clinic.
  • Participate in inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions when the situation calls for comprehensive care, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the therapeutic journey.
  • Maintain precise documentation that adheres to regulatory standards, including state and federal guidelines.
  • Remain informed about advances in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and teamwork.

Education

  • Hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Complete a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet obtained ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • Possess a valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of commencement.
