Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational strategies.
- Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Engage collaboratively with a dedicated team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families to bolster progress outside of clinical settings.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care continuity throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain meticulous documentation conforming to state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continuous education and collaborative partnerships.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.
