- Deliver personalized speech therapy targeting communication, linguistics, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to formulate integrated care plans.
- Provide education and resources to patients and families for ongoing progress outside the clinical environment.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care for all patients.
- Keep comprehensive and timely documentation in accordance with local, federal, and institutional guidelines.
- Stay abreast of innovations in the speech pathology field through ongoing education and peer interactions.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
