School Speech Therapist

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a CCC certification to provide specialized services at an elementary school serving grades 4 and 5. The position offers an engaging setting focused on delivering direct speech and language support to a diverse student population. Location: Biddeford, ME School Grade Levels: 4th and 5th grades Contract Duration: School Year (NSY) Schedule: 13 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM Caseload: Approximately 14 students receive direct services, 6 case manages, and 1 student receives consultative services once per month for 30 minutes Key Responsibilities: Provide direct speech-language therapy to students based on individualized education program (IEP) goals Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and participate in team meetings regarding student needs Case manage assigned students ensuring compliance with documentation and communication with families and staff Deliver consultative support for designated students as per service recommendations Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to optimize student outcomes Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage caseload and documentation effectively in a school environment This position offers a structured, part-time schedule that supports work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on student communication development.
