Part-Time Speech and Language Therapist (.6 FTE)

Hampton Elementary School is seeking a passionate and student-centered Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated team in a .6 FTE (3 days/week) role for the 20252026 school year. We are a small, community-oriented PreK6 school where every staff member makes a meaningful difference.

Position Overview:
The Speech and Language Therapist will provide direct services to students with communication needs, collaborate with teachers and families, and contribute to a multidisciplinary team focused on helping all learners thrive. This position includes assessment, therapy, consultation, and participation in PPTs and IEP development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
CT SLP Certification (061) or eligibility
Experience with a range of communication disorders across early childhood and elementary grades
Preferred: Experience with AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) tools and strategies
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Commitment to inclusive, strengths-based practices

Schedule:
3 days per week (0.6 FTE)
Flexible scheduling in collaboration with school leadership
Physical Qualifications:
Ability to sit, stand, bend and move frequently between classrooms and work areas
Capacity to work with students at varying physical levels (including kneeling or sitting on the floor with young children)
