Job Summary and Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Occupational Therapist completes patient assessments, and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Occupational Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patients physical therapy to support patients throughout home health and the continuum of care.

Creates an environment and culture that enables Rehabilitation Services to fulfill the mission of the Hospital to meet or exceed its goals.

In collaboration with the Medical Director and other clinical staff, assures the development of quality inpatient rehabilitation programming to meet market needs.

Collaborates effectively with all members of the rehabilitation team within the inpatient rehabilitation unit.

Works with the Therapy Services Manager to ensure the supply of appropriate resources to support the programs, services, organizational structure and staffing levels necessary for quality rehabilitation services . Coordinates as necessary with inpatient rehabilitation counterparts.

Implements operations and processes to support, facilitate , and maintain uniform performance of in patient care including documentation.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree
• Occupational Therapy (OT), or Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT)
• Direct inpatient rehab experience; one year or more preferred, involving extensive knowledge of rehab/criteria
