Detroit School Occupational Therapist Job Help Students Build Skills for Life

About the Role:
Youll provide therapy services to students with a range of motor, sensory, and adaptive needs across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Collaboration with educators, support staff, and families will be essential to ensure students can participate fully in their school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students and contribute to the development of IEPs

• Deliver direct therapy aligned with student goals

• Provide consultative support to educators and caregivers

• Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, handwriting, self-care, and classroom access

• Maintain documentation of progress and service delivery

• Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Michigan OT license

• School approval or MI teaching credential for OT practice in public schools

• Experience working in school or pediatric environments preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12, assignment based on district needs
