Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract This full-time, in-person opportunity is for a Speech Language Pathologist to serve K-12 students during the 2025-2026 school year in a school setting located in Stafford, VA. The role focuses on delivering individualized speech and language assessments and therapy, as well as providing consultation and support to school staff within the special education framework. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, articulation, and auditory screenings and evaluations for students with special education needs. Collaborate as a member of multidisciplinary teams to contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and implementation. Provide consultative services and training to school personnel to support appropriate language development programs. Maintain effective communication with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to monitor student progress. Support and adhere to strategic educational plans, policies, and special education regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license. Clearance to pass a Federal Criminal Background Check. Experience with assessment, evaluation, and consultation in school settings preferred. Commitment to supporting students with special education needs and their families. Knowledge of special education processes, disability categories, and intervention strategies. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships with students, staff, and community partners. Positive attitude with a sense of humor and flexibility in the workplace. Schedule and Contract Details: Full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday. Contract duration: August 13, 2025 through May 21, 2026.
