An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Taos, NM. This contract position focuses on delivering therapeutic services that enhance students' ability to participate fully in their educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students needs to develop individualized occupational therapy plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve students fine motor, sensory, and cognitive skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment plans.
- Provide guidance on accommodations and adaptive equipment to optimize learning conditions.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) credential required.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a K-12 setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a contract role.
