This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Bloomingdale, GA. This is a contract position where you will work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists to assist in the delivery of speech therapy services and contribute to the progress of students with communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists with individual and group therapy sessions.
- Implement treatment plans and document student progress.
- Prepare materials and activities for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with educators and other support staff to support student needs.
- Monitor and report on student behavior and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure in accordance with state requirements.
- Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and maintain documentation.
- Comfortable working with K-12 students with a variety of speech and language disorders.
