Your Responsibilities
  • **Craft Individualized Treatment Plans**: Assess patient needs and devise customized therapeutic strategies to support them in attaining their functional goals.
  • **Implement Evidence-Based Practices**: Apply proven interventions designed to improve patients motor performance, cognitive abilities, and everyday activities.
  • **Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams**: Work alongside fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive, person-centered care.
  • **Educate Patients and Families**: Teach patients and caregivers effective therapy techniques to ensure continued progress outside of sessions.
  • **Track and Adapt**: Monitor patient development and adjust treatment strategies as needed to keep them on the path to success.
Education Requirements
  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Ongoing professional development and certifications are actively encouraged and supported.
Certification Criteria
  • Valid and active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required.
