Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for diverse populations, utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate goals and ongoing communications, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation.
  • Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide education for patients and families to support therapeutic progress beyond the clinical setting.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure cohesive care throughout the treatment landscape.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in your field through continuous education and collaborative practice.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
