Pediatric Bilingual Speech Pathology - Gurnee, IL

A K-12 school in Gurnee, IL, is seeking two skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) to join the team for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This position offers approximately 35 hours per week, managing caseloads ranging from 35 to 45 students. The school environment includes a multidisciplinary support team comprised of fellow SLPs, special education supervisors, social workers, psychologists, and other specialists to foster collaborative student support.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, eligibility assessments, and leading IEP meetings. Providing direct therapy services to students is central to the role, with an emphasis on RtI (Response to Intervention) support to enhance educational outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Illinois SLP license
• Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools issued by ISBE
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
• Experience working in pediatric and school settings advantageous

Location: Gurnee, IL

This role involves working closely within a team of 3 to 5 SLP professionals at each school, supported by a dedicated special education supervisor, ensuring a comprehensive approach to student services.
