Description

  • Curate individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to foster a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients and families to empower them in achieving progress beyond clinical interactions.
  • Facilitate occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in continuous learning through ongoing education and collaboration with peers to remain at the forefront of the field.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
