Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
- Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
- Deliver focused speech therapy interventions targeted at enhancing fluency, voice, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical practitioners, caregivers, and families to establish a unified care approach.
- Provide education to patients and their families to support their ongoing progress beyond clinical visits.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuity in the care timeline.
- Ensure all documentation is precise and reflective of state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Commit to ongoing professional development through continuous learning and teamwork with peers.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Licenses/Certifications
- State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
