Position Responsibilities

  • Assess patients encompassing pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
  • Deliver one-on-one therapeutic interventions focusing on language, speech, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians alongside families in crafting unified care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families, enriching their understanding and ability to foster progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations to maintain continuity of care throughout recovery.
  • Ensure documentation is precise, timely, and adheres to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and collaborative engagement with peers.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
