Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Craft tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
- Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to formulate integrated care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families, ensuring continuity of care and progress outside of scheduled sessions.
- Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and therapies, facilitating uninterrupted care throughout the course of treatment.
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Continue evolving in your practice by engaging in professional development and peer discussions.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
