Description

  • Create tailored treatment plans that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver dedicated speech therapy interventions that encompass language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop unified care approaches.
  • Empower patients and their families with educational resources to support therapy progress beyond clinic walls.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with local, state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Continuously educate yourself on advancements in the field by participating in professional development and collaborating with peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
