Description

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions, honing in on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nurses, and family members, to devise a cohesive care pathway.
  • Educate families about the therapeutic process to encourage progress and support at home.
  • Conduct inpatient evaluations and interventions when needed to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Keep meticulous documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest practices and advancements in speech-language pathology through continuous education and collaborative team efforts.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
