Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions addressing areas like communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Work in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish cohesive and effective care strategies.
  • Facilitate education for patients and families to bolster progress outside the therapy space.
  • Provide occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Accurately maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Stay engaged with advancements within the field through ongoing education and peer networking.

Education Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications Required

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferably hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement.
