Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments paired with keen observational insights.
  • Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate goals while paving the way for long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing achievements.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy that fosters improvements in communication skills, language comprehension, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nurses, and family members to develop comprehensive care protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families, empowering them to nurture progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Participate in intermittent inpatient treatments and evaluations to ensure seamless continuity of care during the rehabilitation journey.
  • Uphold meticulous and prompt documentation that adheres to all state, federal, and organizational criteria.
  • Engage in continual professional growth through education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of hire.
