Description

  • Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice control, and swallowing abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical doctors, caregivers, and family members to form a cohesive care strategy.
  • Provide educational resources for patients and families to support therapeutic progress outside the clinical environment.
  • Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions when required, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation following state, federal, and organizational protocols to uphold the highest standards of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of innovative practices in the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) as necessary before obtaining ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
