Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric age brackets through both standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Design individualized treatment plans focused on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that aim to enhance communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
- Facilitate educational support for patients and their families to advance progress beyond clinical settings.
- Occasionally provide inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless transitional care experience.
- Maintain diligent and timely record-keeping in accordance with relevant state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Keep abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and teamwork with peers.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
