Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric age brackets through both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Design individualized treatment plans focused on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that aim to enhance communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Facilitate educational support for patients and their families to advance progress beyond clinical settings.
• Occasionally provide inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless transitional care experience.
• Maintain diligent and timely record-keeping in accordance with relevant state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Keep abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and teamwork with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
