Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
- Create tailored treatment plans addressing both short-term goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Implement individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
- Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families to support ongoing progress beyond clinical settings.
- Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Remain up-to-date with advancements in the field, engaging in continued education and collaboration with peers.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
