Essential Responsibilities:- Utilize clinical expertise and sound judgment to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring individualized treatment plans and patient education.
- Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and wound care devices.
- Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and exercise equipment.
- Assist patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, and activities of daily living.
- Adapt therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations to maximize treatment effectiveness.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including peer review and patient care evaluations.
- Foster excellent communication and customer service with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Supervise aides, students, and volunteers as needed.
- Support departmental functions and contribute to staff education and professional development.
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Commitment to ongoing professional education and active participation in relevant professional organizations is expected.
Licensure and Certifications:- Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
- Current CPR certification is required.
