Essential Responsibilities:
  • Utilize clinical expertise and sound judgment to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring personalized treatment plans and patient education.
  • Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and wound care devices.
  • Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and exercise equipment.
  • Assist patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, and activities of daily living.
  • Adapt therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations to maximize treatment effectiveness.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews to enhance patient care.
  • Foster excellent communication and customer service with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Supervise aides, students, and volunteers as needed.
  • Support departmental functions and contribute to staff education and professional development.
Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent bodies. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Commitment to ongoing professional education and active participation in relevant professional organizations is expected.

Licensure and Certifications:
  • Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
