Essential Responsibilities:- Utilize clinical expertise and sound judgment to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring personalized treatment plans and patient education.
- Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and wound care devices.
- Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and exercise equipment.
- Assist patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, and activities of daily living.
- Adapt therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations to maximize treatment effectiveness.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews to enhance patient care.
- Foster excellent communication and customer service with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Supervise aides, students, and volunteers as needed.
- Support departmental functions and contribute to staff education and professional development.
Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent bodies. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Commitment to ongoing professional education and active participation in relevant professional organizations is expected.
Licensure and Certifications:- Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
- Current CPR certification is required.
