Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods across pediatric, adult, and geriatric segments.
- Create tailored treatment strategies that focus on immediate and long-lasting communication and swallowing objectives.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication skills in areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaboratively engage with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate integrated care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress and practice outside the clinic.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Keep thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Engage with the latest advancements in the speech pathology field via continuing education and peer discussions.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is expected if you are not ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
