Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods across pediatric, adult, and geriatric segments.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that focus on immediate and long-lasting communication and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication skills in areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaboratively engage with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress and practice outside the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Engage with the latest advancements in the speech pathology field via continuing education and peer discussions.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is expected if you are not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
