Speech Pathology Assistant - Chicopee, MA

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available in an elementary school setting, focused on supporting students primarily from pre-kindergarten through 4th grade, with occasional cases across other grade levels. This onsite role offers an opportunity to work closely with a diverse caseload within the school district, providing essential speech and language support to young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to students.
• Support students with speech, language, and communication needs across mainly elementary grades.
• Implement therapy plans under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
• Collaborate with educators and other professionals to promote student success.

Qualifications:

• Valid California SLPA license required.
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Experience with AAC devices and strategies strongly preferred.
• Ability to engage and support young children effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Position based onsite in Palmer, California, serving an elementary school population.
