Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients through both standardized assessments and keen observations.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both short-term ambitions and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver one-on-one specialized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge cohesive care plans.
  • Provide insightful education to patients and families, empowering them to support continued progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in your field through ongoing education and collaboration with professional peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet earned.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA appreciated.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
