Speech Pathologist Assistant in Georgetown, TX

A bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for a full-time, contract role serving K-12 students within the Austin Independent School District. This assignment runs through May 2026 and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment supporting diverse learners. The role requires school-based experience, with a preference for candidates who have prior experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Bilingual certification is required.
• Texas SLPA certification/license with current, valid credentials.
• Proven experience working as an SLPA in K-12 school settings.
• Familiarity with school-based speech-language therapy services.
• Ability to manage itinerant caseloads and work collaboratively with school teams.
• Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and educators.
• Availability to start as soon as possible.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist certified Speech-Language Pathologists in evaluating and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Provide speech and language intervention services in compliance with district and state guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
• Support bilingual students by delivering services in English and the designated second language.
• Travel between schools within the district as assigned.
