A bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for a full-time, contract role serving K-12 students within the Austin Independent School District. The role requires school-based experience, with a preference for candidates who have prior experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Bilingual certification is required.
- Texas SLPA certification/license with current, valid credentials.
- Proven experience working as an SLPA in K-12 school settings.
- Familiarity with school-based speech-language therapy services.
- Ability to manage itinerant caseloads and work collaboratively with school teams.
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and educators.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist certified Speech-Language Pathologists in evaluating and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Provide speech and language intervention services in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Support bilingual students by delivering services in English and the designated second language.
- Travel between schools within the district as assigned.
