Description

• Conduct evaluations across various age groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that target immediate objectives as well as long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge integrated care strategies.
• Provide valuable education to patients and their families to encourage progress in real-world settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing learning and collaboration with peers to stay updated on advancements within the speech-language pathology field.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
