Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and clinical observations.
• Create individualized treatment plans that address immediate goals along with long-term needs in communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions that concentrate on language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Engage in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to design comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy settings.
• Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless patient care during their treatment journey.
• Keep meticulous records and documentation compliant with all relevant guidelines.
• Stay abreast of the latest advances in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire.
