Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric backgrounds, employing standardized assessments along with keen observational skills.
• Craft customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Facilitate individualized speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to construct unified care approaches.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to support progress during off-therapy time.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, promoting continuity of care throughout each patients journey.
• Ensure precise and prompt documentation that adheres to all relevant state, federal, and organizational procedures.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and teamwork.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
