Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A K-12 school in Oakland, CA, is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support to students throughout the current school year on a contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the educational development and communication skills of diverse learners. Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique communication needs Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to support student progress and inclusion Maintain detailed documentation of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student success Qualifications: Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Certification or licensure as an SLP for school settings Experience working in a K-12 educational environment preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff Ability to manage caseload and documentation efficiently within a school calendar year contract Location: Oakland, California, serving diverse student populations in a vibrant urban school setting This contract position provides a meaningful opportunity to contribute to student growth while collaborating with a passionate educational community.
