We are seeking a Part-Time Sports Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient team in Philadelphia. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to carry a flexible caseload of individual clients, providing counseling that addresses the unique mental health challenges faced by athletes. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping athletes navigate stress, anxiety, depression, performance pressures, identity concerns, and life transitions both in and beyond competitive sports.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual outpatient counseling with a focus on athletes' mental health and emotional well-being.
Address clinical concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress management, performance pressure, and identity challenges.
Develop and update treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with licensing and insurance requirements.
Participate in team meetings as needed to coordinate care and support client progress.
Foster a safe, supportive, and athlete-focused therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field (required) with the completion of a clinical based internship or practicum.
Experience working with athletes or clients navigating high-performance or competitive environments strongly preferred.
Strong commitment to supporting athletes' mental health through evidence-based, client-centered care.
