ResponsibilitiesSupervise the daily activities of assigned staff.
- Create work schedules, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
- Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff on performance expectations. Provide input for hiring and termination procedures.
- Coordinate patient care with other members of the team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.
- Ensure that adequate supply levels are maintained and make changes to supply as needed.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of
Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Bachelor's in Respiratory Care
- RRT preferred
- 5 years of bedside experience in critical care (Level 1 Trauma and Burn)
- Leadership experience strongly preferred.
