Scope of Job

Research Assistants are hired to assist faculty in carrying out specific aspects of an individual faculty member's research agenda.

Conduct literature reviews

Generate annotated bibliography

Complete scoping/ systematic review

Collect data and analyze data for current projects

Prepare materials for IRB review

Prepare qualitative interview questions

Prepare Qualtrics/quantitative surveys for administration

Recruit and/or interview subjects

Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary

Summarize and transcribe interviews

Provide ready access to all experimental data for the faculty researcher and/or supervisor

Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project

Manage and respond to project related email (as applicable)

Prepare, maintain, and update website materials (as applicable)

Attend all project meetings

Attend area seminars and other meetings as necessary

Summarize project results in manuscript format for publication

Prepare progress reports for the PI and funding agency

Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations

Present oral presentation or poster presentation

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Enrolled as an occupational therapy student within the doctorate program.

Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.

Acceptable Academic Performance as defined by researcher.

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel/Word).

Preferred Qualifications

Salary$2400 a month for 20 hrs a week
