Job Summary

Central Union High School District is looking for a caring, student-centered, highly motivated individual to provide support for our students with communication disorders. Under direction of a Speech-Language Specialist and under supervision of the Director of Special Education, provides direct treatment assistance to identified students with communication disorders; provides support to the Speech and Language program and speech language pathologists; administers a variety of speech and language tests; performs a variety of duties in support of students in accordance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and in support of student case management services; maintains a variety of records; performs related work, as directed. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration and communication skills, possess initiative, have a history of dependable attendance, and align with our core values of Honesty, Integrity and Respect.

  • High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent Graduation from a Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aide Dispensers Board approved speech-language pathology assistant program; or a bachelor's degree speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an approved institution; or an out-of-state associate of arts or sciences degree in speech-language pathology assistant. A minimum of one hundred (100) hours of field work experience or clinical experience through an approved educational institution; or completion of thirty-six (36) weeks of full-time experience in another state performing the duties of a speech-language pathology assistant. Current First Aid and CPR certificates Criminal justice fingerprint clearance Pre-employment health exam Valid Class C California Driver's License and acceptable driving record
