Responsibilities

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values,the Activities Assistant will be developing opportunities for the Resident to fulfill his needs and abilities.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school education, current CPR certification, 36 hour activity course or community group involvement and a love of the elderly, accepting, experience of teaching and supervising.
  • Understanding of illness and those disabling conditions requiring long-term care.
  • Continuously able to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and continuously able to attend to task/function for more than 60 minutes at a time.
  • Frequently able to understand and relate to the theories behind several related concepts.
  • Continuously able to remember multiple tasks, assignments given to self and others over long periods of time.
  • Continuous use of common office equipment and computer terminals.

This position is represented by SEIU, Local 399 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
