Job Description
A high school Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Sterling Heights, MI, for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to support students communication development in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for high school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other support staff to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and school staff
- Ability to manage caseload effectively and maintain organized records
