Occupational Therapist Role Available Help Students Succeed in Kenton County Schools

Kenton County Schools is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver assessments and therapy that help students build fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills essential for learning and daily life. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, student-focused environment.

Position Overview:
As an OT, you will assess student abilities, design individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy that empowers students to participate confidently in their school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and prepare clear, detailed reports

• Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to IEP goals

• Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care routines

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support progress

• Attend IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Kentucky Occupational Therapy License

• Kentucky Department of Education Certification for School-Based OT

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
