Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A K-12 educational setting in Joliet, IL is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time contract position during the upcoming school year. This opportunity offers a caseload of approximately 40 students, primarily supporting children with Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Learning Disabilities (LD). Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students across grades K-12 Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to enhance student communication skills Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress reports and therapy notes Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Qualifications: Valid licensure or certification as an SLP or SLPA within the state Experience working with children who have Autism, SLD, or LD preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff Ability to manage a caseload of 40 students while providing individualized care Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment Position Details: Location: Joliet, IL Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week Start Date: August 21, 2025 End Date: June 8, 2026 Employment Type: Contract for the school year This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the academic and social development of children with diverse learning needs.
