A K-12 school in Omak, WA, is seeking a skilled Audiologist on a contract basis to support student hearing and communication needs. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse student population, providing essential audiological services that enhance learning and development.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as an Audiologist
- Experience working in educational settings or with pediatric populations
- Proficiency in hearing assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and hearing aid management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff
- Ability to maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for students across K-12 grade levels
- Identify hearing impairments and recommend appropriate interventions or accommodations
- Counsel students, families, and school personnel regarding hearing health and management strategies
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
- Maintain and calibrate audiological equipment and documentation in compliance with established protocols
