Description

- Create tailored treatment plans aimed at meeting both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Administer personalized speech therapy interventions focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to build cohesive care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and families to encourage progress during non-clinical hours.
- Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the treatment journey.
- Maintain organized and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Participate in continuing education and peer discussions to remain current with emerging trends in the field.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
