Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups through standardized assessments and careful observations.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-term aspirations regarding communication, cognitive functioning, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver focused, hands-on speech therapy, targeting communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate with a diverse team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure an integrated approach to care.
• Educate patients and their families to extend progress beyond the therapy room.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapies, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout each patients journey.
• Maintain organized and punctual documentation, adhering to state and federal standards.
• Commit to professional growth through ongoing education and relationship-building with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of hire.
