Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

King David Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a Speech LanguagePathologist to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY!

Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Prepare engaging exercises and activities to useduring speech sessions with patients
• Provide counseling and consultations for newpatients
• Work with SLP team and Registered Dieticians todetermine safe diet
• Create goals and objectives for patients to worktoward and identify areas of progress and challenges
• Prepare speech pathology equipment and exam roomensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed
• Attend continuing education courses and work toadvance personal knowledge and experience within the field
• Request and organize written authorization frompatients involving specific follow-up instructions and goals for improvement
• Treat residents according to a treatment planapproved by the attending physician
• Communicate with Supervisor and other healthteam members regarding resident progress, problems, and plans
• Record clinical documentation according to theaccepted regulatory, facility, and professional guidelines; this includes dailynotes, weekly progress notes, and monthly recertification documents

Speech Language Pathologist Requirements

• NYS License
• Master's degree in speech-language pathology
• COVID-19 Vaccination

Preferred

• Proficiency in OptimaHCS
